.... minus the cover!
I am pleased to announce the recent publication of my monograph on the
Namanereidinae: taxonomy, phylogeny and cladistic biogeography in the
Records of the Australian Museum (Supplement). It is available online in
the form of PDF files on the namanereid page of Geoff Read's Annelid
Resources, linked off the taxonomy page. See:
http://biodiversity.uno.edu/~worms/taxonomy.htmlhttp://biodiversity.uno.edu/~worms/docs/namanereid.html
The PDF files are an exact replica of the offprints. They can be read and
printed online using the freeware Adobe Acrobat Reader (link also at above
site) - note that you'll need version 3.01 or better. However, I recommend
that you first save the files to disk before printing. To do this using
Microsoft's obtuse Internet Explorer right click on the PDF download button
and select 'save target as'; Netscape users should have fewer problems
saving (similarly right click & 'save link as' will also work).
The appearance of maps and figures on-screen will depend on the
specifications of your monitor, but can be improved greatly by using
the zoom feature of Acrobat. Printed, the graphics should be very
close to offprint quality.
I'd like to thank Geoff for putting the files on his Annelid Web pages and for
his help in preparing the namanereid page. Also Shane McEvey, Editor,
Records of the Australian Museum, for the idea of online PDF's and for
saving me lots of $$$ on the cost of offprints!
If you are unable to download or read the PDF files and desperately need
a copy of the monograph then send me note. I have a few offprints left over
for those with imaginative excuses (e.g. you really like the lime green
cover!).
Cheers,
Chris
