I have a question on leeches. A person who owns a cottage on the same
lake I am on was swimming the other day and when he came to shore he
had a leech on his foot wear. It was brownish with strips on its back. He
asked several people if they knew anything about leeches and all of us said
no, but didn't think it unusual for a leech to be in the lake. No one to my
knowledge had seen one in the lake before. Our lake is located in upstate
NY about 40 miles north of Binghamton NY. Can you give me any info. on
leeches and are they common in all lakes?
Thank you for any help or info. you can furnish
