Greetings,
This message was posted on the mollusca list serve this morning and since
it deals with a polychaete infestation I thought I would pass it on to this
group. Hopefully someone will be able to help this gentleman.
Take-care and Happy Holidays.

Subject: mollusca Polydora Infestation
Good morning to all:
I am wondering if anyone can advise me on what to do about a Polydora
infestation on Abalone broodstock. What can we do to treat this
infestation, but most importantly, what can we do to prevent the infestation
from occurring again.
The background on this case is. In BC we are working on the development
of the aquaculture techniques for the Northern Abalone (Pinto) Haliotis
kamtschatkana. We are using mature adults taken from wild populations. It
is from here that we believe the infection was initiated. If anyone has any
suggestions on how to deal with and prevent this problem I would be very
grateful.
Cheers
