The reason we use pencil instead of ink is that some ink also comes off
after a while - for what reason we do not know (quality?). Sure, we have
labels written in ink more than 100 years old and still very clear. The same
is, however, true for pencil. And even if the pencil fades out you can read it
- dried - under a UV-lamp.
