Dear Annelideans,
As announced in the Iceland Conference, there is a running Project in
the Mediterranean aiming to an edition entitled: Das Mittelmeer (The
Mediterranean). The general Co-ordinator is Dr. Robert Hofrichter
(Institute of Zoology, University of Salzburg, Austria). The Publisher of
the Edition is: Spektrum Akademischer Verlag (Heidelberg, Germany).
The needs for the Polychaeta are: a) all families should be covered (fully
described); b) descriptions of 1-5 species per family should be given
(space restrictions). About 20 well known scientists from the
Mediterranean countries or countries with significant contribution to the
Mediterranean Polychaetology are currently working on the Project, but
there is space for many other contributors.
The conditions are: a) there are no money available; b) names and effort
of contributors will be acknowledged; c) deadline is the end of October
(2001). In case you are interested in being involved in this Project,
