Hi Kelly
I've used Phenoxyethanol to relax spionids (adults + larvae) and found it
good to work with for photography etc. McKay (1970) has a recipe for
mixing it with freshwater which you then dilute with seawater + your
animals. It seems to lose its potency over time if you mix it directly with
seawater and store it.

McKay, C. R., and D. J. Hartzband. 1970. Propylene
phenoxetol: narcotic agent for unsorted benthic
invertebrates. Trans.Amer.Microsc.Soc.of the
American Microscopic Society 89: 53-54.

Regards... Sean
