Invertebrate communication

I am reminded of the sound effect used by someone in the film
industry.

The sound of an ant eating a piece of cake was magnified two hundred
times and was perfect as background noise for an earthquake sequence.
Perhaps if researchers got down to the worm's scale maybe there would
be all sorts of communication going on we are presently unaware of ?
