Yes, shore fishermen in Hawaii often "catch" Pherecardia striata
(Amphinomidae) on baited hooks. This is a good worm for the teaching lab
aquarium. They come off the bottom to take a piece of fish or dead cow
held in a pair of forceps. Something to be said for the caruncle.
