With reference to Helmut Zibrowius' suggestion that there would be
biographies for Peter Simon Pallas (1741–1811), a gentleman who packed a
lot into those 70 years, here as titbits are some brief biographic web pages
and a link to print resources. The web pages are not very detailed, and do
not mention Miscellanea Zoologica. The first is probably the best, and has
some possible locations of material. The last has a portrait.

Also there is an article on Pallas in Archives of natural history. Vol. 10
(1981- 82): 45-64

"The Pallas fish collection and the "Zoographia Rosso-Asiatica" : an
historical account" / A.N. Svetovidov

There are a number of print biographical resources on Pallas to be found by
searching under Peter Pallas as subject in COPAC - which provides free
access to 22 university research libraries in the UK and Ireland PLUS the
British Library.
