Dear colleagues,
For the moment we are working on the methods, allowing to determine type
of reproduction of terebellid just looking on preserved material, without its
dissecting. It seems fairily and unreal, but anyway seems to be a true. To
verify our hypothesis we need in some data on their biology. Sure we used all
published data, but there are no a lot of such. May be somebody have
unpublished data wich we can use for verifying? Specifically, we need in
following information concerning to Terebellinae (=Amphitritinae) only
concerning type of brooding: 1. intratubular 2. extratubular in cocoons,
gelatinous mass etc. 3. other. For the moment we think that all Pista s.lato,
Lanassa, Leaena, Paramphitrite, Proclea and Laphania have intratubular
brooding while Amphitrite s.lato, Amphitritides and Baffinia have no.
