Dear Roger,
it seems that Geoff's remark comes close: Zibrowius (1973) deals with
the difficulty in distinguishing Salmacina and Filograna being mainly
based on the presence/absence of an operculum. He placed both within
Filograna Berkeley, 1835. Ten Hove (1994) regards Filograna/Salmacina
as a species complex in need of a detailed review. For an account of the
