As someone who has been involved for the past three years in the 
conservation work on Alkmaria romijni at the Medway site, I should point 
out to those new to such press confusion - do not believe everything that 
you read in the newspapers (or, as in this case also, hear on the radio). 
Incidentally, the species was Scheduled in the UK in 1991, at which time 
it was known from only four locations in the UK.
