Hi all,

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I announce the passing of long
time friend and mentor Dr. Joseph Simon. Although Joe had not been active in
the Annelid community for some time now he will be missed by all those that
knew him. For nearly four decades Joe revealed the exciting world of
invertebrates, especially polychaetes, to his students and colleagues. He
taught with uncompromising excellence and enthusiasm until his retirement a
few years ago.
