Hello Annelida listers,

On 17 November 1995 Annelida list started up, hosted by BIOSCI at
net.bio.net. We never became a USENET newsgroup, but the messages have kept
coming ever since, and so we reached the milestone of our ninth anniversary
last week. I haven't got an exact tally, but about 2500 messages altogether
have come your way if you are an original subscriber. All are still available
at the list archive - the archive is searchable at
http://www.bio.net/hypermail/annelida/

A huge number of topics have been covered, and many opinions have been
expressed, and much help has been sought and given. During those nine years
the Internet has changed greatly, but today e-mail listservers like Annelida
still continue to flourish as tools for easy immediate communication between
those with a common interest.

Thank you for your participation. I have certainly enjoyed and benefited from
my involvement and friendly contact with Annelida members, and am aiming to be
here this time next year for year ten. I hope you will be around too!

Please keep sending your news and your worm problems to:

<annelida at net.bio.net>

All the very best,

Geoff Read
