Dear colleagues,

Greetings from Los Angeles! Below is the update for the impact factors list
that I sent some years ago. It's true that there are many important journals
which are not periodical and hence cannot be included in the Science Citation
Index, but there is a growing trend to evaluate our research activities using
these numbers. Hope it can be useful,

Best wishes,

Sergio

Table 1. Impact factors for journals where polychaete taxonomy/systematics
notes can be published. The ‘+, –, or = ‘ signals indicate trend between SCI
data (2001 and 2003). Data for 2002 were prepared by German colleagues; SCI
updates every 2 yr. 2003 data compiled by Angel de Leon.
