[Annelida] larval feeding rate

Hi all,

I am looking at effects of algae on the toxicity of copper to polyahaete 
trochophores.  The study requires the precise measurement of the larval 
feeding rate.   Neither the haemocytometer nor Coulter counter method seem 
to work.  Can anyone share some ideas on the methods for this kind of work 
or leads for the relevant literature?
