L.S.
Can somebody please help me to identify a particular Spionidae-species?
Using the Spionidae-key of Hartmann-Schroder (Annelida, Borstenwurmer
58. Teil, 1996) we consider it to be a Aonides, but it looks more like a
Malacoceros without its frontal horns, also are the hooks more at the
end of the body.
I will mention the main features here:
- Conical prostomium without frontal horns and two tentacles
- Eyes are very little
- The hooks are present at the notopodium as well as the neuropodium
- The hooks are bidentate and starting approximately at the 30th segment
Thank you,
