Water & Air Research, Inc., a multidisciplinary, employee-owned
environmental consulting firm in Gainesville, FL has immediate openings for
one Full Time and one Part Time Aquatic Invertebrate Taxonomist based in
Gainesville, Florida.
A minimum of three years of experience in the taxonomic identification of
aquatic invertebrates is required for both positions. Both positions
participate in and manage field sampling, taxonomic identification of
biological samples, data management, statistical analyses, interpretation,
and report writing. Experience in a wide variety of statistical techniques,
FDEP-certification for conducting Stream Condition Index sampling, and
experience in water quality field sampling is preferred for both positions.
Other duties require maintaining sampling equipment; keeping proper records;
sorting, collecting and handling samples and related activities. Applicant
must be able to use computer software to analyze and report technical
information. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 4 years of college
in a related program/field and three years of experience. Water & Air
