You should be aware that there is a supplement/corrigendum to this volume, viz:
Because of deadline-constrains (i.e. the opening of the exhibition "Oasen der Tiefsee" of the Linzer Landesmuseum, April 6th), a final review of printed proofs have not been possible, and some errors and omissions still remain in the book despite of the cautious publisher's work. A document 'Supplement & Corrigendum' is now available on the ChEss web site: http://www.soc.soton.ac.uk/chess/handbook.php
I think the volume is good, but then I've onl;y read the pycnogonid bit so far.
