Hi annelida folk,
I wanted to share with you a resource indexing academic digital archives
I encountered today.
OAIster ... find the pearls. http://oaister.umdl.umich.edu/o/oaister/
This is a search engine to eprints and academically-oriented digital
resources. Search results here will also probably be found in Google,
but here they are nicely formatted with abstracts, and free of the dross
to be waded through in Google.
Early in the year the American Museum of Natural History made its
publications freely available online, including early papers.
http://digitallibrary.amnh.org/dspace
OAIster is a nice interface to material available there. Such as Kirk
Fitzhugh's 1989 monograph (as an image-scan pdf):
A systematic revision of the Sabellidae-Caobangiidae-Sabellongidae
complex (Annelida, Polychaeta). Bulletin of the AMNH ; no. 192
Also OAIster links to Brazilian papers in SciELO (Scientific Electronic
Library Online), to datasets in PANGAEA (www.pangaea.de/Info/), and much
else. Some restricted access publications may be encountered.
Enjoy.
Geoff
