Hi Folks,
This is a last minute reminder that the deadline for registration and
abstract submission for the Ninth International Polychaete Conference is
this Sunday, April 15.
Please refer to the www site: http://www.dmc.maine.edu/wormsinfo12-06.html
I have had quite a bit of communication via e-mail and telephone the last
few days addressing questions. One common question relates to the number of
oral and poster presentations by a single person. The general rule followed
in recent IPCs is that a single person may be a first author on one poster
and/or one oral presentation. However, the same person may be a co-author (
i.e., second, third author) on other presentations. All presentations are
eligible for manuscript submission to the Conference Proceedings in
Zoosymposia.
Please ensure that your abstract contains sufficient information for
evaluation.
At this time, we anticipate having a manuscript submission deadline of about
01 December 2007. We also anticipate that as groups of papers are accepted
and go to press that each paper will be published on-line. This means that
most authors will not have to wait for the entire volume to be assembled in
order to have their paper "in print". This follows the Zootaxa model. More
details on manuscript submission requirements will follow in due course.
