Hello:
I pulled a lovely specimen of Chaetopterus from intertidal muds this
morning. I thought it was an Onuphid (Diopatra) while I was digging it up
and was a little surprised that I was able to keep from breaking the tube.
Once I cut it open, however, I was very surprised to find this interesting
guy. We even took it into a dark room and made it glow a little!
Anyway, now it is sitting in large glass dish in a flow-through seawater
tank and I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not it will stay alive
this way. Am I better off just preserving it in formalin or will it make a
fun pet for a while?
thanks
