Well, I've checked this out since. "Third-party annotations" has a precise meaning in GenBank and are sequences derived or assembled from primary sequences. And nothing to do with error correcting of misidentifications plucked out of the air by original submitters.

PS. "Lumbricus" coupled with "bimastus", an invented binominal mentioned by Csuzdi Csaba, can be purchased from Beijing Baiao Pharmaceuticals.
This company may warrant further scrutiny. A simple biological supply house it ain't. But no time today.
