Annelid community:
I am interested in polychaetes that make tubes (e.g., Capitella,
Dinophilus), and the possibility of obtaining specimens (fixed is OK)
and/or tubes. My application will be mostly histological and TEM, for
the purpose of determining the structural and evolutionary
relationships between clitellate egg cases and polychaete tubes. Our
preliminary data suggests that secretory glands producing these
respective structures are related, and I believe an expansion of our
data set would be revealing.
If you or a colleague has suitable material available, please let me
know and I will be happy to cover shipping expenses, etc.
Thank you very much.
