Hi all,

This will not be news to many, but for the benefit mainly of those who could not make the very well run Sydney Int. Polychaete Conference in early August last, here is a small summary update.

Pat Hutchings did some blogs (and one from Elena Kupriyanova) on the conference pre and post events. Start at this one maybe, and browse back and forward.

Twitter posts search tag: #ipcsydney2013

Formal group photos: I attach (hopefully) low res versions of the photos.

Proceedings publication: will be in the Memoirs of Museum Victoria. Memoirs publishes papers on original research in the natural sciences pertinent to Victoria and/or the museum's collections; for this special issue oral and poster presentations from the Conference will also be considered for publication. Contact Robin Wilson for full details. Submission deadline 31 October, 2013. If printed price likely to be Aus $40-50. I presume Robin would like those not at the conference also to indicate interest in purchasing hard copy to him to make better economics. Always good value!

Next conference: Cardiff, Wales, 2016, with Andrew Mackie, National Museum Wales, organising.

President IPC: Andrew Mackie takes over from Paulo da Cunha Lana. Thank you very much Paulo for your work and gracious last day speech, and good luck Andy.

Thank you Pat, Lena, Anna, Narelle, and other Sydney local and aussie organisers,

Cheers,

Geoff
