Dear colleagues,
We have recently released a database on life history traits of
(currently only marine) polychaetes -
http://polytraits.lifewatchgreece.eu. The data can be freely browsed and
downloaded, and a description of the database and its concept can be

If you use the database please have in mind that it is a product of many
years' work and an equally long learning process - this means that data
can vary in quality, but we're continuously trying to clean up errors.
Most data point also include an excerpt of the original text passage
from the literature, this should help in assessing information.
Also, we have received helpful comments by some colleagues concerning
the inclusion of additional trait categories, including more
morphological data. As the database grows, we'll need certainly to
accomodate for more types of information, so some restructuring is
planned for the future.
If you have any comments concerning improvement, obvious errors, ideas,
etc. or would like to contribute data please feel free to contact me.
