I am sending this message on behalf of the Temir Britayev, who last time do not revcieve any messges and can't sent anuthing himself

We lost Mary, it is difficult to comprehend! She was very kind and responsible person, helped to many, many, scientists with advise, references, reprints, editing, etc. She was working 14-16 hours per day and most of these hours were dedicated to her colleagues. Geoff’s citation precisely characterizes her time-table in Copenhagen in 90th!
I remember well when there were problems with food shortage in Moscow in 1992, she prepared parcel with cereals, tinned food, oil, sweets, etc., that substantially supported my family during winter 1992/1993. She did everything very carefully, that is reflected in the Proceedings of the Second Conference . Mary was master of drawing, and I am proud that we published joint paper with her excellent figures of scale-worm. She was extremely responsible, and didn’t regret sparing time to help someone. I guess that due to these features she published fewer papers than she could.    After Portland Polychaete Conference she became less and less accessible for the contacts, but she never complained on the health problems. The last reminder from her was bulbs of red lilies she sent me 6-7 years ago. Every July they are blooming in my garden.
