Subject: Contractor recruit
Good morning. We are recruiting six full-time contractors qualified at the equivalent of the GS-5 grade for a large scale collections project to be performed at the Natural History Museum over the course of 12 months. The tasks (to be conducted by each contractor) will consist of baseline inventory of a portion of the dry preserved mollusk collection (ca. 45 quarter units or 41,500 specimen lots), and preparation and installation of new archival labels for approximately 41,500 specimen lots. Following the completion of this work we hope to receive funding for two additional years so that the entire mollusk collection can be inventoried. I am emailing to ask if you are interested in this work and, if so, to please send me your current CV within the next week and indicate when you would be available to start work. If you have any questions please contact me (hershlerr from si.edu<mailto:hershlerr from si.edu>; 202-633-1747) or Cheryl Bright, Collections Manager, Dept. of Invertebrate Zoology(brightc from si.edu<mailto:brightc from si.edu>; 301-238-1756). Bob Hershler
