Dear all,
I have been working with live plankton for many years and I agree with
Collin and Ken that this is a part of a ctenophore rib. The beating
rythm of those cilia is very typical for ctenophores.

I think Collin is correct - this is part of a ctene row. The forams like
Hyalinea or Planulina tend to have more of a hard appearance * and I
suspect this is much bigger than those. The beating structures are
pretty clearly compound cilia.
