[Annelida] RE: Kristian Fauchald

Dear colleagues and friends,

This is very sad news.
The gap Kristian leaves behind is huge at all levels, exactly as Kirk says:
a great man, friend, colleague, and mentor, that only Kristian knew very well
how to make it, all at the same time.
What I mostly admired at him was his open-hearted, giving personality.
That attitude that made the youngers feeling welcome in this society,  
targeted to the study of polychates.
Jim, you are right, it won't be the same and I believe this is a great  
loss not only for our society but for the entire discipline of zoology.
My sincere condolences to Len Hirsch.

Perhaps, we can attend his memorial service through a web conference service.
