I too am saddened by Kristian's death but even so, thinking of him as I
read these emails, I have to smile. He was so quick to laugh, fond of the
ridiculous, and supportive. He had an eye for detail and was generous in
teaching the rest of us, but he also loved to see the field change and new
ideas come forth. This evening as Ian and I wind up the day, we will have
a toast to this generous, warm-hearted man and feel fortunate for having
known him.
