It was with a heavy heart that I read of the passing of=0A=
Kristian this weekend. Words cannot express my sadness at the loss of such =

generous and supportive academic=2C and true gentleman. I would like to add=

condolences to Len=2C his colleagues=2C and many friends. Though I had met =
with Kristian many times over the years=2C benefiting from his voluminous k=
nowledge=2C wise=0A=
counsel=2C and endless hospitality=2C the memory that first came to mind wa=
s of him taking time to put a young (and nervous) polychaetologist=0A=
attending his first IPC at ease and making him feel welcome. I=2C as we all=
=2C will=0A=
dearly miss him=2C and will hold tightly to our fond memories of Kristian.=
