[Annelida] Nereis identification

PS

We have both momentarily forgotten the testimony of the molecules.
Best to think of the Pisionidae genera as in Sigalionidae 'scaleworms' now. But while hunting for literature they will be found as Pisionidae.

Dr. Smitha,

I agree with Geoff. Looks like a specimen of Pisionidae with possible male copulatory organs on that 16th segment.

Hi Dr Smitha,

The photos seem to be of a pisionid - family Pisionidae. The 16th seg structures are presumably copulatory organs of a male.

Cheers,

Dear all,

Any Nereis expert in our group?
I have got one Nereis sp. It has 22 segments and its 16th segment bears a pair of long parapodium compared to others. Referred a number of publications. But I am not able to identify the specimen.
Kindly help me for identify the specimen?
