It is very sad to hear so bad news. I remember Andre in several polychaete meerings when we were students.
It is a great lost. My condolence to his family and friends.

Dear Friends and Colleagues
It is with a heavy heart that I tel you that Dr André Souza dos Santos
passed away on this morning. He died on the hospital stricken a strong
pneumonia (according to personal communication).
He was a young scientist, and made part of team (with me and other
persons), that was pioneer on study of Polychaetes from Northeastern
Brazil, under supervision of Dr Martin L. Christoffersen. He study
especially Sabellariidae family, and described new species, and contributed
to polychaete fauna from Brazil.
It is a great loss for us, for the zoology of Brazil.
I am devastated at his loss.
