Hi all,
It just keeps getting better!
I've made a portfolio pdf version of the seven Uebelacker & Johnson books. I think you'll find this more convenient to handle, store and use.
I'm sharing it via my Google drive https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4fZp-1MYVhhc0tfYWFwVVgybms
Also I've uploaded it to WoRMS. It's 74 Mb.
Let me know if there are any problems with using this format, or with any of the files.
Geoff

Hi all,
This set of seven volumes from 1984 on Gulf of Mexico worms may not be as familiar to some of you as it is to me and a few others listening, at least a couple of whom were authors. It was a major project and cost a lot of money (usd 258,000 in 1984), and was a pioneer of its time.
Because the project decided not to name the new species found as a matter of policy, it will not have the longevity of the later, and somewhat similar project published by the Santa Barbara Museum for the offshore California area.
All the volumes of the GOM taxonomic guide are still accessible online:
See WoRMS: http://www.marinespecies.org/polychaeta/aphia.php?p=sourcedetails&id=58799 for an overview
Only some of the family chapters are individually indexed at WoRMS as yet - I'll add some more.
Volumes can (at least) be read page by page online at HathiTrust (GoogleBooks digitisation from U. Michigan holding). Partner login required for the complete pdfs.
https://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/002201750
I do not know why there is a restriction on downloading for the general public at Hathi as these are USA government documents and should be freely obtainable.
Formerly (up to about 2009) different and official digitisations were online at a Minerals Management Service web site. These are now gone, but are miraculously still accessible from the internet archive:
https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/homepg/regulate/environ/techsumm/rec_pubs.html#1984
Volume 3 and 7 of those files downloaded at earlier dates were partly corrupt with some content not accessible, but the 2009 versions seem okay.
Here are the individual pdfs. Those of you who never save the details of where you get files might like to change practice as a New Year resolution and save these:
Vol 1: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3864.pdf
Vol 2: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3865.pdf
Vol 3: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3866.pdf
Vol 4: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3867.pdf
Vol 5: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3868.pdf
Vol 6: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3870.pdf
Vol 7: https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20090114045736/http://www.gomr.mms.gov/PI/PDFImages/ESPIS/3/3871.pdf
Cheers,
Geoff Read

I will provide this volume 3 privately if no one else already has done so, but frankly someone already should have by now. I didn't think I had it, so didn't look immediately, but it seems I've got them all. No sure if they are all good files as at one stage some of the files online were corrupt.
So that we know in future, does anyone know where a set of these are located online now? Victor where did you find yours?
They used to be at a site called www.mrm.mms.gov, but that died when the organisation was superseded. I looked today at www.boem.gov/ but it was sending me in circles so gave up. BHL used to have just volume four.

Dear Anneliders,
Does anyone has a PDF-copy of the Uebelacker, J.M. and Johnson, P.G.
(1984) Taxonomic guide to the polychaetes of the Northern Gulf of Mexico.
Final report to the Minerals Management service, Volume III?
I have found all the volumes except the volume III.
Thanking in advance and
Wishing a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2017,
