I am so sad to hear this news. Although I haven't been in touch with Judy in recent years, we shared many good experiences at Polychaete conferences over the years and on a lovely field trip to Bamfield after IPC3 in Long Beach. She was a lovely person and good fun to be around.
I attach this photo (with Pat Pocklington) from IPC2 in Copenhagen of happier times

Subject: [Annelida] Sad News
It is with great sadness that I was informed yesterday of Ms. Judy Fournier passing away suddenly on July 1st, 2016.
http://kellyfhkanata.sharingmemories.ca/site/JudithAnneFournier.html?s=40
Judy was the first person I met when I joined the Canadian Museum of Nature in 1994. In the following three years, prior to her retiring, I learned a lot on polychaete taxonomy (and other invertebrate groups) from working closely with her.
Judy attended several International Polychaete Conferences and collaborated with many polychaete experts. That is why I wanted to share this information broadly.

Obituary
FOURNIER Judith Anne
( 1943-2016 )
Judith passed away suddenly from a cardiac arrest, on July 1, 2016. She is survived by her sisters Doris (John) Crawford of Oro-Medonte, ON, and Joan (Andre) Corriveau of Stittsville, ON, as well as their children and many grandchildren. Judith will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. During her busy life Judith worked at The Canadian Museum of Nature as the Assistant Curator until her retirement. She lived at Spiritwood Farm for many years and was well known for her participation in many horse shows held in the Ottawa area. She was also a long time member of the Ontario Equestrian Federation. She loved horses and cats, and enjoyed her life around the farm. The family would like to thank the bystanders who tried to help her at the store where she collapsed, the paramedics and the wonderful and caring staff in the ICU at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Her final resting place will be at the Greenhill Cemetery in Lucknow, Ontario, beside her loving parents Sydney and Evelyn Rouse and her predeceased brother Sydney. Memorial donations to either the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
