Dear colleague,

It is possible to treat oysters with a solution saturated out of salt. Quality of shells treated is clearly improved without inducing loss of growth or surmortality. If you want, you can download my PhD thesis (in French) "Infestation of the oyster shells Crassostrea gigas by polydorid species in Normandy (France): recommendations and treatment to reduce this harmful effect" here : http://archimer.ifremer.fr/doc/2004/these-162.pdf.

Dear colleagues

I have a problem of oyster breeding contamination by Polydora.

Is there any effective method of treatment?

Cheers
