Dear colleagues
Just to update on my posting on 30 March about producing an 'informal' publication about Kristian based around a variety of different contributions (from short remembrances to longer essays or articles) and lots of photos (with associated descriptive legends/text).
We have recently received a contribution on Kristian's early life in Norway from the Fauchald family, a beautiful compilation of
'Kristian in his own words' from Linda Ward, and a number of lovely essays from his former students, and those he has worked with, or taught, or examined! Several others have promised to send contributions in the next few days.
However, as we ourselves are rather busy reading abstracts just now, we would like to ask whether any others wish to send us anything for inclusion in the publication? To this end, we extend the previous 'deadline' until May 20.
So, if you have any memories, anecdotes and photographs, or a piece of correspondence that you can offer, please send it to us. Style can be whatever desired by the writer, from anecdote ... to 'essay' ... to more 'paper-like' ...
Photos should preferably be good quality (ideally 300 ppi) suitable for printing and accompanied by any associated information of occasion, place and date to put them in context. Photos should also belong to the writer, or the writer should have permission from the photographer to use them.
All the very best
Andy, for the IPC Organising Committee
