Hi,

Annelida accepts the most common image file types - eg jpg, tiff, bmp, and accepts pdfs (so someone could make a pdf of images if necessary). It will discard files with non standard file extensions, and extremely large files (over 8 Mb). A small jpg file of 1 Mb or less should be okay. However, really in general when posting to a list it is often better to put a file somewhere else and point to it. For instance Taxacom list rejects ALL attachments, but people find workarounds.

More generally please keep in mind Annelida list has been running on the same system for two decades, so has limitations. Let's all hope that it keeps going a while longer. One day not too far in the future I think we will no longer have it. Fortunately when that happens you will still be able to access the vast list archive via the internet Wayback machine at archive.org. And someone hopefully will start up a new Annelida list - but it will not be me.

Keep those Annelida posts coming ...

Cheers,

Geoff Read (Moderator person, since 1995!)

Dear Colleagues,

Sorry, I'll attach the photo again. I do not know why it's not visible to you.
