Hi all,
I had an enquiry about this Knox item, a book or report chapter, and I've never seen it myself either, and I would like to. Does anyone have it please?
Knox, G. A. 1959. Pelagic and benthic polychaetes of the central Arctic Basin. In: Bushnell, Vivian (ed.). Scientific Studies at Fletcher's Ice Island, T-3, 1952-1955, volume 1. [Geophysical Research Papers no. 63], pp. 105-114. U. S. Air Force Cambridge Research Center.
Why Knox in New Zealand would be working on these Arctic worms is a mystery, but he was long time associated with Antarctic research so perhaps there was a connection between polar researchers. Fletcher's ice island T-3 had a lot of military and scientific activity on it, lasted a long time, and was generated off Ellesmere Island in the Canadian Arctic.
