Dear all,
I would like to describe deep-sea polynoids which have sexual dimorphism.
But confused about two questions:
1. What is the correct procedure if the original description contains only
one sex and we want to provide supplementary information about the other
sex? Will we need to designate the holotype and paratype as well?
2. For new species description, can we designate two holotypes, one for
male form and one for female form?
Any idea and suggestions are welcome.
Moreover, does anyone have a pdf version of the following paper:
Detinova N.N., 1988: New species of polychaetous annelids from hydrothermal
vents of the juan de fuca ridge pacific ocean. Zoologicheskii Zhurnal
67(6): 858-864
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Yanjie
