Hi all,
An improved version of the Bobretzky 1870 Black Sea plates with good detail is available. Those interested can either download (again) the whole article (with new plates substituted) from WoRMS or just get the plates pdf file from my Google drive share, or do both! You can zoom the plates 300 to 400 % before pixellation appears.

Many thanks to Stepan Vodopyanov who scanned the plates from an original in Lomonosov Moscow State University Library. I see the library first opened in 1755 - before the official start of zoological nomenclature! Wonderful to have access to such an asset.
Cheers,
Geoff

Hi all,
There are three hard-to-obtain Bobretzky papers from 1868 and 1870 now available online as pdf from WoRMS (and NOWHERE ELSE). [snip]
