Hello Raman
This would be a Chaetognatha (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaetognatha). Many species with pelagic way of life, but some benthic. I cannot help with the species name, for I'm not familiar with species from yur faunal region.
best wishes from Amsterdam
Ton van Haaren

Dear Colleagues:
I am posting this information with a view to seek your kind help. During
our coastal monitoring studies along east peninsular Indian coast (Bay of
Bengal), we came across several specimens, 50 or so (pl see the attachment)
collected from soft sediments using a van Veen Grab (Hydrobios) at depths
10-30m. We tried identifying the specimen but failed. We even made an
approach to BNHM and I was advised to post the image and information on the
net. I would greatly appreciate if some one could kindly help with its
identification. I would be glad to receive questions if any on this.
Please let me know.
Thank you and with kind regards
Akkur Raman
