Hi All,
On the feasibility side, an important limitation for authors who would like to cite original descriptions, is that these citations can be challenging to track down. One of the great things about WoRMS is that it provides that citation when the editors have entered it. So making sure that all original description citations are entered into WoRMS is a good way to move this along. So keep up the good work, Geoff and all!
Cheers - Gustav

Subject: Re: [Annelida] on the citations of taxonomic papers
Hi all again,
I am really happy we opened a debate on a topic it is quite important for all of us, which I have to admit was my first idea.
Thanks Alejandro and Aida for providing literature on the topic. My fault I did not spend time trying to find these references myself, but I am happy I did not because otherwise it would probably had persuade me not to write my email.
I would really like to hear about other people in this forum. I believe we need as much consensus as we can. And, as I said in my email and some others did afterwards, we can try to find a consensus with other groups of people (Porifera, Bryozoa, Echinodermata...). We are lucky enough to live in a period in which it is quite easy to get people together using different tools (twitter, facebook...), so let's take advantage on that.
Totally agree with Alejandro in that we should probably make some research on 'our' field to add something to the discussion. Probably after other people bring their thoughts to the forum we can think about best approaches to do so.
Cheers,
Sergi.
