Update: they were seen eating fallen pyrosomes Greg says.
Not sure I'd caterpillar across the seabottom in a rush to eat a pyrosome, but maybe they're delicious :)

Subject: [Annelida] Hyalinoecia scrum
Hi all,
Sharing with you some fascinating Hyalinoecia scrummage group-action from Schmidt Ocean SuBastian Dive 230 off Costa Rica. What are they doing? Is the food item all eaten?
Lisa Levin and Greg Rouse are on board this Costa Rica cruise of R/V Falkor.
Not sure if the YouTube link is permanent or not but at the moment it's Dive 230 at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMjueZvsTiA and the Hyalinoecia group begins at 31 minutes in.
Also a stylish polynoid with an anemone at 34:20 or so, and Lamellibrachia and friends at 3:14:00.
Great watch for a Saturday morning in NZ (when I should be doing other things).
Cheers,
Geoff
