Dear colleagues,
I have found two recent reviews citing the paper entitled "Ecology of
spionid polychaetes in the swash zone of exposed beaches in Tahiti
(French Polynesia)" by Frouin et al 1998
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0764446997896254
and that kept using "Scolelepis spp." or "Scolelepis sp. A and sp. B" as
species names. Please note the 2 species given in the above reference
have been named Scolelepis (Scolelepis) melasma and S. (S.) dicha in
1998 by Hutchings et al. That reference can be easily missed when
searching the web. For easy access, you can find it at the following links:
Hutchings, Patricia A.; Frouin, Patrick; Hily, Christian. 1998. Two new
species of Spionidae (Polychaeta) Tahiti, French Polynesia. Proceedings
of the Biological Society of Washington, 111(4): 799-806
