<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face="Comic Sans MS">I do both, pencil drawing with camera lucida then scan the drawings and finally digitalize the drawings with a Wacom Intuos Drawing Tablet and Adobe Illustrator. Check Coleman (2003) about digital inking. It is also possible to use digital images although I have the experience that a pencil drawing is beneficial.
