<FONT face="Default Sans Serif,Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif" size=2><DIV>Colleagues---I have recently collected <EM>Lumbriculus variegatus </EM>from a site near my home in Minnesota. Within 24-48 hours of bringing the worms into my lab, I have observed production of cocoons. The eggs are viable and worms are emerging from the cocoons. I am looking for advice on how to maintain these new worms in a laboratory culture. Any recommendations including what to feed them and in what amounts would be most helpful. </DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>thanks.</DIV><DIV> </DIV><DIV>Kay</DIV><DIV><BR> </DIV><DIV>Kay Tweeten, Ph.D.<BR>Department of Biology<BR>St. Catherine University<BR>2004 Randolph Avenue<BR>Mail #4259<BR>St. Paul, MN 55105<BR>651-690-6629<BR></DIV></FONT>
