Because of my review of Terebellidae with Pat Hutchings, I am trying to study the type material or material from the type locality (West Indies) of Pseudothelepus oligocirrus (Schmarda, 1861, as Sabellides oligocirra).

Does anyone know where Schmarda's material was deposited (if it ever was...)?

Does anyone from the Caribbean, Mexico, US or anywhere else have material of this taxon?

I will be in Los Angeles from July to October studying terebellids with Leslie Harris and sabellids with Kirk Fitzhugh, and if someone could send me this material there, we (I and Pat) would be very grateful.

We have already managed to get the type material of Pseudothelepus nyanganus Augener, 1918, which was synonymised with P. oligocirrus by Hartman, sent to Los Angeles. But since the type locality of this "second species" is in Africa, it would be interesting to compare material from both localities to check this synonymy.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Thank you for your attention.
