Dear Neil: We have had good luck with roots grown in liquid culture- 10-20 seeds in 50mls of Gamborgs B5 grown in a 250 ml flask for 2-3 weeks. We obtain 5-10 gms/flask and most of it is roots. You should be able to make RNA or DNA from this material by any method that you prefer. John Walker
